We exist to create safe spaces…
To Feel • To Heal • To Grow • To Change
And to find your purpose and CONQUER it.
So many seek God out of a need for SAFETY and compassion, and have been met with something very different.
Can I be REAL? Like ALL THE WAY real?
(I will anyway!) Church culture is weird.
Isn’t it?
Old systems. Old songs. Old traditions. Old mindsets.
Considering that God is ALL ABOUT growth and change, it’s interesting that churches haven’t continued to challenge the norms the way Jesus did back in the day!
Jesus didn’t attack the broken and hurting. He poked and challenged the systems that hurt them! Kinda reversed from what we see now. Hmmmm…
Weird.
So at WE ARE THE REFUGE, we create safe spaces for HEALING and CHANGE, and once we get our strength and our voice back, we deal with the systems.
That is the WHY of We Are The Refuge…We welcome the hurting. We heal TOGETHER.
And then we watch God unleash His purpose for our story.
